Frequently Asked Questions

  • In accordance with AHA standards, we allow up to 6 participants per instructor per class.

  • Classes can be conveniently booked online. A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due before class begins.

We accept all major credit cards and cash for payment. Class fees include all required textbooks, materials, supplies, and your certification eCard.

  • If you need to reschedule your class, you may do so one time with reasonable advance notice.

Please note that no-shows, late cancellations, and late arrivals will forfeit their deposit (50% of the class cost), as materials are ordered and prepared in advance, and your seat could have been offered to another participant.

  • Classes will only be cancelled or rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. All participants will be notified promptly if such a situation occurs.

Please note that we do not cancel classes due to low enrollment.

  • All AHA certifications are valid for two (2) years from the date of issue.

  • Please wear comfortable clothing, as you will be actively participating in CPR practice sessions using manikins during class.

  • Please bring a valid driver’s license and any supporting documentation if your name has changed (such as a marriage license, divorce decree, etc.) but has not yet been updated on your ID.

Also, bring your cell phone or tablet to complete testing during class.

If you are attending a refresher course, please bring a copy of your unexpired AHA BLS eCard.

  • Classes will include hands-on practice using manikins to simulate real-life CPR scenarios. Both the BLS and BLS Refresher courses will conclude with a written test. You may use your BLS book and notes during the exam, and a minimum score of 84% is required to pass.

If you do not pass on your first attempt, you’ll have the opportunity for remediation and a second attempt.

  • AHA eCards are typically issued on the next business day after your class, provided your course fee has been paid in full. Please note that it is your responsibility to schedule a class that allows sufficient time for your eCard to be issued before any work or certification deadlines.
